An armed man who robbed a customer at an east valley business Monday afternoon is being sought by authorities, according to Metro Police.

Officers responded about 3:40 p.m. to the 6000 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard, east of Sloan Lane.

Police said the suspect entered the store, pointed a handgun and demanded that one of the customers there hand over property, which he “took with force.”

The suspect, who carried a blue duffel bag and brandished a black handgun, was captured on surveillance images.

He fled westbound through a parking lot, police said. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is a black man between ages 18 and 21, who stands about 5 feet, 5 inches, and weighs about 140 pounds, police said. He had “twisted” hair and wore a blue hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, white high-top sneakers and a long white belt.
