Democrats will rally with former presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders in Nevada today, the sixth day of early voting.
The Independent senator will campaign for Democratic candidates at an event in Reno this morning and another in Las Vegas later in the day. This rally follows similar events in Nevada featuring former President Barack Obama, former first lady Michelle Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden.
While Democrats are rallying around Sanders, Republicans are holding a get-out-the-vote event at the Nevada GOP Reno field office. Vice President Mike Pence will also be in Carson City on Saturday to campaign with incumbent Sen. Dean Heller, who faces Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen, and Attorney General Adam Laxalt, running for governor against Democrat Steve Sisolak.
President Donald Trump visited Nevada to campaign for Republicans in September and on Oct. 20, the first day of early voting. Trump has been to the Silver State more than a dozen times since announcing his candidacy for president in mid-2015.
Early voting runs to Nov. 2. The Clark County Elections Department has put out its list of locations and hours to vote early and on Nov. 6, Election Day.
