The Virgin Valley football team's defense forced four interceptions and dominated throughout as the Bulldogs clobbered Western 60-6 Friday night.

Junior running back Wyatt Delano ran for 136 yards and a touchdown in the first half, and Virgin Valley played mostly backups after taking a 48-6 lead after two quarters.

“We got a lot of kids that haven’t seen time in the game,” Virgin Valley coach Matt Woods said. “We just wanted to work on our mental mistakes and finishing a game.”

Bulldogs quarterback Meb Hollingshead completed only two passes on the night, but both were touchdowns. Jake Hampsten and Koden Tietjen each caught a touchdown pass.

Virgin Valley improves its record to an impressive 4-0 and will host Democracy Prep next Friday in its final non-league game of the regular season.
