A woman is dead after Henderson Police say a truck crashed into her electric wheelchair Sunday night.
The crash happened just after 9:50 p.m. near the intersection of Greenway and Fairway roads, police spokesman Rodrigo Pena said. A man driving a 2006 Dodge Dakota traveling south on Greenway in the right lane collided with the 74-year-old woman, who was moving in the same direction in the bicycle lane.
Pena said the woman's wheelchair did not have reflective materials on it. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pena added the driver of the truck was cooperative with the investigation, and police do not believe excessive speed nor driver impairment were factors in the crash.
