A man was killed Wednesday when the motorcycle he was riding crashed north of Las Vegas, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The rider, Donald Shortell, 67, of Alamo, was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol said. He was wearing a helmet, the patrol said.
Shortell was riding a 2000 Harley-Davidson east on State Road 375 about 3:45 p.m. when he crashed for unknown reasons, the patrol said. The road runs between Crystal Springs and Warm Springs.
The crash remains under investigation.
