Junior running back Wyatt Delano exploded for 320 yards and three touchdowns to lead Virgin Valley to a 33-18 win over Democracy Prep Friday night in Mesquite.

Delano torched the Blue Knights’ defense throughout the game to help the Bulldogs remain undefeated through five games.

“That kid runs the ball and looks for contact,” Virgin Valley coach Matt Woods said. “The offensive line dominated. There were some times where he would run seven or eight yards before anyone touched him.”

Virgin Valley is now 5-0 and will begin league play next week with a trip to Boulder City.

“We were sloppy tonight so we need to be a lot better,” Woods said. “That is a good, physical team so we have to be ready.”
