Man hit by RTC bus, critically injured

A man was critically injured when he walked in front of a Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada bus and was hit Monday night in the northeast valley, according to Metro Police.

The pedestrian, Eddie Bow, 40, of Las Vegas, was standing on a sidewalk along Craig Road, east of Lamb Boulevard, about 9 p.m. when he abruptly stepped into the path of the bus, which was headed east, police said. The driver tried unsuccessfully to avoid the man, police said.

Bow suffered significant injuries and was taken to University Medical Center, police said.

The incident remains under investigation, police said.
