A week ago the Cheyenne High football team suffered its first loss of the season, so tonight they came out with a purpose.

Sophomore running back Majae Madison ran for 200 yards and three touchdowns in the first half alone as Cheyenne routed Valley 57-13.

“He ran like beast mode,” Cheyenne coach Pat Ward said. “The offensive line got off the ball well all night and defense played well too.”

The Desert Shields raced out to an early 36-6 lead at halftime and cruised to the victory in the second half. Second-string running back Luis Horna added 79 yards and a touchdown for Cheyenne in relief duty.

The win improves Cheyenne to 5-1 on the season and 1-0 in 3A Sunset league play
