KLM will initially offer flights between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and McCarran International Airport on Fridays and Sundays. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights feature 30 business class seats, 45 seats in economy comfort class and 219 in economy class.

A third weekly flight operating on Tuesdays will being in July.

Las Vegas Visitor and Convention Authority CEO Steve Hill said that new route will provide new opportunities for international tourism.

“Having someone with the significance of KLM break into the market is really important,” Hill said. “The Amsterdam route has a lot of opportunity. When you combine that with KLM’s extensive network, we really thing it will be a very successful route.”
