The Raiders training facility and team headquarters in Henderson will feature the team office, indoor and outdoor practice fields, a weight room, a pool and more.

The initial construction will encompass 30 acres of the 55.6-acre site located off St. Rose Parkway across from the Henderson Executive Airport, featuring 323,000 square feet of building space, according to plans presented Thursday to Henderson officials. The Raiders purchased the land earlier this year from the city for $6.05 million, or half the $12.1 million appraised price.

Plans call for three outdoor fields and 1 1/2 indoor fields, a gym, player rehab facilities, an outdoor pool, a grassy hill for agility training, and a sand pit for resistance training.

Initial design plans show the building’s design and color scheme will mimic that of the $1.8 billion, 65,000-seat Las Vegas Stadium being built near the Strip, where the Raiders will play their home games when they arrive in 2020.

There will be an entrance for visitors and a secure entrance with guards for players and authorized team personnel. Site plans call for 400 parking spaces for guests, players and staff.

Future phases for the remaining 25 acres of land include a business park, warehouse space and hotel space, among other possible uses.

Plans call for signage to be placed on all sides of structures, with a mix of Las Vegas Raiders and the team’s famed pirate logo on different points of the building.

Raiders president Marc Badain said at Thursday’s Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board meeting that the project would break ground by the end of the year.
