A man was treated for smoke inhalation after a recreational vehicle caught fire Sunday night in Henderson, causing an estimated $25,000 in damage, authorities said.

The fire was reported about 7:30 p.m. at the Triple K Trailer Court, 117 King St., near Boulder Highway and Warm Springs Road, the Henderson Fire Department said. Flames and smoke were coming from the roof of a 29-foot travel trailer, officials said.

Firefighters put out the blaze before it spread to adjacent trailers, officials said.

The occupant tried to put out the fire, which started in the bathroom, with a pot of water but was forced to get out and call 911, officials said. A faulty electrical outlet caused the blaze, which was ruled accidental, officials said.

The occupant, whose name was not released, was evaluated at the scene for smoke inhalation and transported to University Medical Center for treatment, officials said.
