Gov. Steve Sisolak today named George Togliatti as director of the Nevada Department of Public Safety.
“George has a long, distinguished career in public safety and the respect of Nevada’s law enforcement,” Sisolak said. “I know he will be an incredible asset to the department and am excited to have him as part of my team.”
Togliatti, a former supervisory special agent with the FBI, teaches at UNLV and previously served as a security executive in the gaming industry.
Togliatti served as director of the Department of Public Safety under Gov. Kenny Guinn, who appointed him in February 2004. He is a former naval aviator and combat veteran.
