Police: Man touched child, 11, on way to school

Metro Police today released a sketch of a man they say inappropriately touched an 11-year-old child who was on the way to a west valley school Wednesday morning.

The suspect has not been identified or arrested.

The incident occurred about 8:30 a.m. near the 4400 block of South Juliana Road, near El Capitan Way and Flamingo Road, police said.

The victim was approached by the suspect, who touched the child three times before the victim was able to “scare him away,” police said.

By the time the victim reported the incident at their school and Metro officers were summoned, the suspect was gone, police said. He reportedly fled on foot, northbound on Juliana Road, police said.

Police described the man as white and in his mid-20 with brown hair. He wore a blue hooded sweatshirt.
