In the Jan. 11 letter “Trump’s wall is no emergency,” the writer argues that President Donald Trump’s threat to classify the building of a border wall as a national emergency is a threat to democracy.
That rationale reminds me of a time when my father was diagnosed with a “slow-growing” form of cancer that he was advised to “monitor” instead of treat. He died four months later.
Might I ask the liberal left, “Just exactly how long do you ignore the problem?”
