A man’s body and an abandoned vehicle were found today at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, according to the National Park Service.
The discovery was made shortly after noon by a park employee near the Echo Bay wash on Northshore Road, about 50 miles east of Las Vegas, officials said.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will identify the man and determine the cause and manner of death, officials said.
