One person was killed this afternoon in a crash involving a semitruck and a SUV near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported about 1:10 p.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard North at Checkered Flag Lane, patrol logs show.
Las Vegas Boulevard was closed in both directions in the area.
