A vehicle fire today on Interstate 15 near Sloan closed the southbound lanes, causing major delays, authorities said.
Firefighters responded about 12:15 p.m. and found a truck pulling a recreational vehicle engulfed in flames, with the blaze extending to the trailer it was towing, according to the Clark County Fire Department. They quickly put out the blaze, and nobody was injured, officials said.
The freeway was closed and traffic was being diverted onto St. Rose Parkway, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol, which warned motorists to expect major delays.
