Liberty falls on late FG to Arizona school

Zyrus Fiaseu had three rushing touchdowns tonight for the Liberty football team, but the Patriots squandered a second-half lead in a 36-33 loss to Liberty of Peoria, Ariz.

Liberty of Arizona kicked the winning field goal in the final minute, pushing hometown Liberty to an 0-5 record to start the season.

Fiaseu had scoring runs of 2, 20 and 6 yards, the last of which gave Liberty a 33-26 edge with seven minutes remaining. But Liberty of Arizona scored the final 10 points.

Lehi Ausage had the big play of the game for Liberty of Nevada, returning an interception 99 yards for a touchdown and a 12-0 lead in the first half. But Liberty of Arizona responded with 19 unanswered points.

Liberty of Nevada’s other touchdown came on Daniel Britt’s 15-yard scoring strike to Maurice Hampton.
