Rayvion Brown had a pair of touchdowns today for the host Cheyenne football team in a 24-20 win against Moapa Valley.

Cheyenne scored 12 unanswered points to close the game, including a 36-yard touchdown run from Brown. Earlier in the game he scored a defensive touchdown on a fumble return.

The matchup featured two of the top teams in class 3A and could be a preview of a playoff game later in the season.

“Anytime you can beat a perennial powerhouse that has been around forever, it’s a confidence builder,” Cheyenne coach Patrick Ward said. “(Moapa Valley) coach Brent Lewis and his kids are a class act. They played hard.”

Majae Madison and Jason Black also scored for Cheyenne, who improved to 4-1 on the season.
