Two recent incidents of animal cruelty may have gone unnoticed except for neighbors with a conscience. In one case, a couple left dogs trapped in a cage in the sun for many hours. One dog died and the other barely lived. When Metro Police came and took the temperature inside the cage, it was 145 degrees; they were literally cooking.
In the other case, two women left two dogs in a cage while they were gone to Florida for 20 days, and both dogs died. In both cases, caring neighbors called police to report these abuses. I want to thank them both for doing the right thing and exposing these ignorant people, who should never be allowed to have animals again and hopefully don’t have children.

This is our community and we all have a responsibility to speak up for others. If you see something, say something. Remember, many hardcore criminals started out abusing animals.
