A 32-year-old motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon when he crashed into an SUV that turned into his direction on a south valley road, according to Metro Police.
The crash was reported about 1:30 p.m. near Russell Road and Valley View Boulevard, police said.
The victim, a Las Vegas resident, was riding a Honda CBR 1000 RR northbound when he smashed into a 2011 Ford Edge that was heading in the opposite direction, but turning into an industrial complex parking lot.
The motorcyclist was rushed to University Medical Center in critical condition, while the motorist collaborated with investigators.
The crash remained under investigation.
