A man was fatally shot and another wounded after a road-rage confrontation today in the north valley, according to Metro Police.

The shooting happened about 11 a.m. in the 2900 block of North Pecos Road, near Las Vegas Boulevard North, Sgt. Jon Scott said.

Officers found a man dead at the scene and another with gunshot wounds to his lower body, Scott said. The wounded man was taken to University Medical Center, where he was expected to recover, Scott said.

A third person involved in the incident was being interviewed, police said.

An argument broke out between people in two vehicles before one individual got out and was chased on foot by two other people to a nearby office complex, Scott said. After a struggle, at least one person pulled out a gun and opened fire, Scott said.

Detectives were trying to sort out who was an aggressor and who was a victim, police said.
