Police: Pedestrian killed near Boulder Highway

A pedestrian in a crosswalk was fatally injured when she was hit by a car in the southeast valley early today, according to Metro Police.

The 19-year-old motorist reported the crash at 12:19 a.m. on Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue, police said.

Police said he was heading south in a 2004 Infinity G35 when he struck a 36-year-old woman, knocking her to the ground.

The victim, only identified as a Las Vegas victim, died at the scene. The motorist cooperated and was not impaired, police said.

The investigation, the 40th traffic fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction, was ongoing, police said.
