Two employees who worked at McCarran International Airport last week have tested presumptive positive for COVID-19, according to a news release.

One employee last worked at the airport Thursday while the other last worked there on Friday, according to a release from the Clark County Department of Aviation.

The employees — the departments where each worked were not revealed — self-reported their illnesses and both are under quarantine. It wasn’t immediately clear Monday afternoon when each began their quarantine periods.

The employees did not work in close proximity with each other and worked different shifts, according to the release.

Airport officials said they have no reasons to believe the employees had “prolonged” exposure to the traveling public. The work areas used by the employees have been sanitized with disinfectants, officials said.

The Transportation Security Administration revealed last week that a screener who last worked at the Las Vegas airport on March 12 had tested positive for COVID-19.
