A man was killed and a suspect was on the run following a shooting late Tuesday in North Las Vegas, police said.
The shooting was reported about 11 p.m. in the 1800 block of Goldfield Street, North Las Vegas Police Officer Caitlyn Ebert said.
Police have identified a suspect but weren't ready to publicly name him, Ebert said today.
The shooting followed a confrontation between the suspect and victim, Ebert said. The victim, who was in his 40s, died at the scene, she said.
The investigation was ongoing, and further details were not immediately available.
