A California woman died several days after a single-vehicle crash last week in a Strip resort parking garage, according to Metro Police.

The crash happened about 10:20 p.m. Thursday on the fifth floor of the garage at Paris Las Vegas when an SUV hit a block wall, police said.

The driver, Scott Thomas, 39, of Montclair, Calif., was arrested on a count of driving under the influence, police said.

Thomas was not injured, but on Sunday, a passenger in the vehicle died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said.

The name of the passenger, a 43-year-old woman from Riverside, Calif., was not released, pending notification of her family, police said.

Two other passengers suffered minor to moderate injuries, police said.

The death marked the 88th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year. The crash remains under investigation, police said.
