A warrant was issued Monday for the arrest of a man Metro Police have linked to the disappearance and death of a 22-year-old woman, Las Vegas Justice Court records show.

Erick Michel Rangel-Ibarra, 25, is facing counts of murder and destroying and concealing evidence, court records show.

A warrant was also issued in the case for 45-year-old Jose Antonio Rangel. He is being sought on one count of harboring, concealing or aiding a felony offender (being an accessory after the fact), and one count of destroying and concealing evidence, according to court records.

On Wednesday, Metro named Rangel-Ibarra as the suspect in the death of Lesly Palacio, whose bodywas found that same day near Valley of Fire State Park.

The 45-year-old man wasn't linked to the case untilthe warrants were issued Monday.

Palacio had been missing since Aug. 29, police said. It wasn’t clear how she died or how detectives identified Rangel-Ibarra as a suspect.

Palacio's disappearance was treated as a missing-person case until Sept. 3, when Metro determined there may have been foul play involved and assigned homicide detectives to the case.
