Tue, Sep 22, 2020 (12:37 p.m.)

A man was shot and wounded in the leg early today after an argument at a Boulder City hotel, city officials said.

Officers were called about 1 a.m. to the hotel in the 100 block of Ville Drive, where they found the victim suffering from a nonlife-threatening injury, a news release from the city manager’s office said.

Two Arizona men staying at the hotel got into an argument when one of them retrieved a gun from his luggage and fired a “warning shot,” officials said.

Moments later, he fired a second shot, striking the victim in the leg, officials said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, and the other man was taken into custody, officials said.

The incident, which took place in a guest room, remains under investigation and no additional information was being released, officials said.
