Firefighters put out a blaze at a vacant house this morning southeast of Sahara Avenue and Valley View Boulevard, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials.

No injuries were reported, but the fire did about $40,000 in damage, officials said.

The fire was reported about 9:50 a.m. at a boarded-up, single-story house in the 3100 block of Roseville Way, officials said.

The fire department reported heavy fire on the interior of the house and set up defensive operations.

Squatters were using the house, officials said.
