Two people were treated for minor smoke inhalation after a fire early today at a senior apartment complex, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials said.

The fire was reported about 3:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of Citrus Hill Boulevard.

It took firefighters just a few minutes to put out the blaze on a second-story apartment balcony, officials said.

Two people who were trying to put out the fire using fire extinguishers and a pot of water were treated for smoke inhalation and released on the scene, officials said.

The sole occupant of the apartment escaped without injury, officials said.

The fire, which was confined mostly to the balcony, did about $25,000 in damage, officials said. The cause of the blaze was undetermined, officials said.

The North Las Vegas Fire Department also responded to the fire.
