Bruce Woodbury and Jace Tenney had defensive touchdowns for the Boulder City High football team in a season opening 52-0 win at Western.

Matthew Richardson and Martin Thompson had touchdown receptions, and Hunter Moore and Mick Raabe had rushing scores.

After missing the 2020 season because of the pandemic, Boulder City coach Chris Morelli said both teams were excited to get back to competition.

“Even the referees were excited,” he joked. “The Western kids were just as excited as our kids to have a game to play.”

Joshua Fotheringham also scored for Boulder City.
