Green Valley scores 39 unanswered points, downs Canyon Springs

Green Valley’s Anton Keeling had a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown and a 60-yard reception for a score, and kicker Damon Bischoff nailed a 54-yard attempt in the Gators’ 39-6 win against host Canyon Springs.

“It definitely wasn’t a mistake-free football game by any means, but our guys played hard,” Green Valley coach Brian Castro said.

Josiah Vitale rushed and passed for a touchdown for the Gators, who surrendered a touchdown on the opening series of the game and held Canyon Springs scoreless the rest of the night.

Nate Richter also scored for Green Valley.
