Strong second half lifts Silverado football past Durango

The Silverado football turned a one-touchdown halftime advantage into a 41-6 victory Friday night against Durango.

John Agounke carried the ball five times for 88 yards and two touchdowns, and Jaden Thrower had a touchdown reception on offense and interception return for a score on defense.

“We got going in the third quarter,” coach Andy Ostolaza said.

The Silverado defense shined with three interceptions, and Donavyn Pellot and Caden Harris each had rushing touchdowns.
