The Henderson Police officer arrested early Tuesday for a second DUI charge and one count of domestic battery was observed “using unlawful use of force” on his fiancee at a bar near the Las Vegas Strip, according to arrest reports.

In a domestic violence report obtained through an open-records request, investigators said Holman was seen on surveillance video “grabbing and wrapping his arm around the back of her neck as she was attempting to pull away,” according to the report. The two were at Area15.

Holman allegedly grabbed the left side of his fiancee’s top with his right hand in a pushing motion, causing her to stumble backwards. She then tried to spin away from him, prompting Holman to use his left arm and wrap it around the back of her neck, according to the report. Holman then brought his head near her left ear “for a few seconds” before releasing her.

The report states an Area15 security guard saw Holman holding his fiancee against the wall, and as Holman released her, the guard pushed Holman away and separated the two.

The report states the woman called family, then police, saying she and Holman had gotten into an argument outside the bar. Holman and the woman, however, denied a domestic disturbance had occurred and were escorted to their car, where the officer observed Holman get into the driver’s seat, according to the report. Officers were alerted of the incident and went to their residence to conduct a welfare check.

Officers contacted Holman and met him at a parking lot in the 4100 block of West Desert Inn Road, near Arville Street, with his stepmother and fiancee. Holman and his fiancee again denied a domestic battery occurring. Officers noticed alcohol on Holman’s breath and the woman said Holman drove them to that spot where they were going to meet his stepmother so she could give the woman a ride somewhere for the night, according to the report. Officers also found a large amount of vomit, according to the DUI report.

Holman’s DUI report states officers made contact with them at 11:13 p.m., and Holman said he did not consume any other alcohol after driving. Officers did not locate any alcohol in the area, and once they met with Holman’s stepmother, she took the keys from him. The DUI report states Holman received a blood draw, but the blood alcohol content was redacted from the report.

The DUI is Holman’s second. Court records show Holman posted a $50 surety bond Tuesday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 25.

Records from the Henderson Municipal Court show Holman was arrested Feb. 5, 2018, for the first DUI. That case officially closed Oct. 7, 2019. He paid $685 in fines, court records show.

Henderson Police announced Monday that Holman was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. The department on Thursday said there were no updates to the investigation.
