Makahi Donaldson rushed for 245 yards and two touchdowns tonight for the Arbor View football team in a 23-3 victory against visiting Faith Lutheran.

The Aggies lost by four touchdowns last week to open the season, but were able to bounce back against a top-10 opponent in Faith Lutheran.

“We made a big jump this week,” Arbor View coach Matt Gerber said. “We fixed a couple of things. We had some kids step up tonight — it was a good (win) for sure.”

David Washington had 100 receiving yards for the Aggies, including a 72-yard touchdown reception from Gavin Smith. Arbor View’s other points came on a safety after A’montae Mitchell blocked a Faith Lutheran punt.

From top to bottom, it was a solid game — especially with how the Aggies’ young offensive line played, Gerber said.

“We got our running game going tonight,” the coach said.
