Jay Owenhouse’s magic show, which features tigers, is a relic of a bygone era. Ringling Brothers Circus is extinct because people no longer find these acts entertaining. Owenhouse’s best trick would be to retire his tigers to a legitimate sanctuary, where they can live in an enriched and natural setting.
On Dec. 22, Clark County Commissioners should vote against allowing Owenhouse to build a temporary sanctuary near the Strip, as the Winchester Town Advisory Board did.
