A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a man Tuesday during a soured drug deal, according to Metro Police.

The juvenile, who wasn’t publicly identified because his age, was taken into custody Wednesday, police said.

Police did not indicate what role the boy allegedly played in the incident or what charges he might be facing.

James Baugh, 19, met the suspect and a second male about 4 p.m. at an apartment complex parking lot in the 8900 block of Warm Springs Road, near Durango Drive, police said.

During an illegal drug sale, Baugh and the gunman got into a fight and the shooter pulled the trigger, police said. Police did not identify the alleged gunman.

Baugh, of Las Vegas, died at University Medical Center from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to police and the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Police did not distinguish who was allegedly buying and selling the drugs.
