Firefighters were battling a 6.6-acre fire this morning at Wetlands Park, the second in less than a week, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

The fire was contained, and no structures were threatened, officials said. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not know, officials said.

Command of the fire has been transferred to the Bureau of Land Management, officials said. BLM crew will remain on scene throughout the day conducting mop-up operations, officials said.

Some smoke will be visible from the park throughout the day, officials said.

The fire is the second of the week at the park, east of Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue. A fire Wednesday night burned 45 acres.
