The Nevada Highway Patrol made 36 arrests on suspicion of DUI in the Las Vegas area during its New Year’s Eve patrol ending at 6 a.m. this morning.
Metro Police will announce its impaired driving stats later, but earlier reported its first fatal crash of 2021. The fatal driver was ejected in a single-car crash on Highway 163 near Laughlin, Metro posted on Twitter.
Metro earlier said the celebration in the resort corridor brought 26 arrests — nine felony offenses; 17 misdemeanors. Clark County said 11 revelers were transported to the hospital with minor medical issues.
In a Twitter post, the highway patrol also announced 17 arrests in the Reno area.
