A Las Vegas woman kidnapped in March has been rescued in Pahrump, where she was locked up, beaten and forced to do manual labor, according to the Nye County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim, who was not named, was able to contact a family member Friday and describe the squat concrete building where she was being held, authorities said. It had bars on the windows, steel doors, surveillance cameras and motion detectors, authorities said.

Her alleged captors, Keith Holman and Kristin Pfaff, were arrested today in the Las Vegas area and were being held at the Henderson Detention Center, authorities said.

They will be extradited to Nye County, where they face multiple counts, including kidnapping and false imprisonment, authorities said.

The Nye County Sheriff’s Office and Metro Police began working together in October, when investigators learned the woman was possibly being held at an unknown location in Pahrump, about 70 miles northwest of Las Vegas, authorities said.

Investigators were out of clues until the woman found a way to contact her mother on social media, authorities said.

It was the first time the family had heard from her since she went missing from Las Vegas some 10 months ago, authorities said.

Nye County investigators found her locked in the building, authorities said. The Sheriff’s Office announced the rescue today, but it was not clear when the woman was freed.
