A fight between a group in an east Las Vegas neighborhood this morning turned fatal when a man was shot, according to Metro Police.
Metro received reports of a brawl about 8:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of Carriage Park Drive, near Lamb Boulevard and Vegas Valley Drive, Lt. Richard Meyers said.
Shortly after, ShotSpotter — gunshot detection technology used by Metro — alerted officers about a shooting in the area, Meyers said.
Police found a man dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, Meyers said.
Homicide detectives were interviewing multiple people but no arrests have been announced.
Meyers said police don’t believe there’s an immediate threat to the community related to the shooting.
