Two people suffered minor injuries Friday in a fire at a three-story condominium building west of downtown Las Vegas, which caused about $500,000 in monetary damages, city fire department officials said.

The nature of the injuries was not immediately available, but officials said they weren’t fire-related.

Out of the 30 units in the building, 10 were damaged by fire and 20 by water, officials said. More than 30 residents were displaced, which the American Red Cross of Southern Nevada was assisting with temporary housing.

The fire was reported about 9:10 a.m. in the 2200 block of West Bonanza Road, near U.S. 95 and Rancho Drive, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials said. The complex houses four condo buildings, only one of which was affected.

The roof of the building collapsed during the fire, officials said.

The building was evacuated, and the fire was out by 11:15 a.m., officials said. Crews were checking for hot spots, officials said.

Residents were taken by bus to an evacuation center at the nearby Dula Community Center, officials said.

A possible cause of fire was not released.
