A man inside an apartment near downtown Las Vegas was injured this morning when a car crashed into the unit, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.
The man was taken to University Medical Center with injuries not deemed life-threatening, Metro Police Lt. Brian Boxler said.
Impairment was not suspected, and the motorist, who was not injured, was cited and released, Boxler said.
The crash was reported about 9:45 a.m. at 2101 Sunrise Avenue, near Fremont and Bruce streets.
The Fire Department on Twitter shared photos of the aftermath, which showed a sedan lodged through a block wall and a window.
The department checked the building’s structure after the car was removed, Boxler said.
