A California man is accused in the beating death of his girlfriend Monday morning in a motel room near the Strip, according to Metro Police.
Justin Ross Medof, 31, is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of murder, Las Vegas Justice Court logs show.
Police said they responded about 8:15 a.m. to the motel in the 4900 block of Dean Martin Drive and found a woman fatally injured with a wound on her head.
The couple had been in some sort of argument and evidence “indicates a struggle occurred in the room,” where the victim was injured, said police. They said she had been dead hours before police were called.
Police did not release additional details. The victim will be identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Medof, who was denied bail this morning, is next due in court Thursday, court logs show.
