The Life Is Beautiful festival lineup announcement this week captivated the attention of potential Vegas visitors and locals who have made a habit of attending the unique downtown event. The 2020 fest was cancelled without ever revealing its lineup, and this year’s roster, scheduled to perform September 17-19, is headlined by Billie Eilish, Green Day, Tame Impala and A$AP Rocky. A handful of LIB’s dance music and hip-hop artists are also recognizable as regular players on the Las Vegas Strip nightclub circuit, including Dillon Francis, Fisher, Ludacris and Cash Cash. For a full breakdown, check out Las Vegas Weekly’s coverage.

The Zappos Theater mini-residency of hard rockers Scorpions with special guests Queensryche has been postponed from its already rescheduled May debut to March 26 through April 16, 2022. There are eight shows planned for the Planet Hollywood Resort venue and tickets are on sale now.

In another glimpse forward, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas has booked its first show in a year, an alt-rock team-up of Dinosaur Jr. and Built To Spill on February 4, 2022. Located on the Strip along the Linq Promenade, the beloved Bowl hasn’t reopened at all since last year’s shutdown and the next event coming up on the current calendar is Chicano Batman with Le Butcherettes on May 21.

Faaabulous! The Show,” the drag spectacle opening this weekend at Notoriety Live downtown, is branching off into brunch fun later this month. Christopher Kenney, known for portraying the “Mistress of Sensuality” Edie in Cirque du Soleil’s shuttered “Zumanity” production, co-created “Faaabulous!” and will team up with a couple of its stars, Vita Summers and Dusty Muffin, for a drag brunch show at the Stirling Club on March 21 at noon. A percentage of ticket sales will benefit Golden Rainbow to provide needed services and financial assistance to Southern Nevadans affected by HIV and AIDS. Tickets are $85 including bottomless Champagne and a three-course brunch menu and they’re available online here. Meanwhile, “Faaabulous!” is set for 8 p.m. Fridays at Notoriety at Neonopolis.

Other live entertainment options this weekend on and off the Strip include the reopened Jabbawockeez show “Timeless” at MGM Grand Garden Arena; Eric Jordan Young and Philip Fortenberry performing the new “In This Moment” at the Space on Saturday; sensational vocalists Patrice Petway Compton and Frank Lawson teaming up for another original musical effort, “It Takes Two,” at the Vegas Room on Friday; and Strip lounge favorite Michael Monge at the Italian American Club on Sunday.
