A Las Vegas woman hit a $1 million jackpot Friday while playing a slot machine at the Cannery, the North Las Vegas casino said.

The winner, who asked to remain anonymous, was playing a Buffalo Grand machine about 2:20 a.m. when she made a $3.75 bet and hit the progressive jackpot totaling $1,024,065, the casino said.

It was the second major Buffalo jackpot at a Boyd Gaming property this summer. On July 15, a visitor from Hawaii hit a progressive jackpot on a Buffalo Inferno machine for $646,090 after betting $15 at the Fremont in downtown Las Vegas.
