1 dead in single-vehicle crash in northeast Las Vegas

A driver of a truck died early Sunday morning after hitting two walls near North Hollywood Boulevard and Walnut Canyon Drive, according to Metro Police.

The single-vehicle fatal collision was reported at approximately 4:39 a.m.

The truck was traveling northbound on North Hollywood Boulevard at a high rate of speed, veering into the southbound lane and striking a wall and light pole, officials said.

The vehicle continued through the intersection at Walnut Canyon Drive and struck another wall before coming to a stop near a residential property, officials said. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials didn’t indicate if the driver was impaired. The investigation is ongoing.
