North Las Vegas Police are investigating a fatal residential shooting on Monday near the city’s airport.
Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Chamberlain Lane just before 9:30 p.m. in reference to a shooting, according to department spokesman Alexander Cuevas.
Upon arrival, officers found a man believed to be in his 50s who was pronounced dead at the scene, Cuevas said.
One subject — who was not publicly identified — was detained through the course of the initial investigation, Cuevas said. Detectives to not believe the shooting was random.
The investigation remains ongoing, Cuevas said. No other information was released.
