Juice Washington’s touchdown run in the fourth quarter was all the Arbor View football team needed in a 7-0 win tonight against visiting Snow Canyon of Utah.

It wasn’t pretty, but then again, it was the first game of the season.

“A lot to work on, but hopefully a wakeup call, ” Aggies coach Matt Gerber said. “Proud of how we never gave up despite putting ourselves into an almost unwinnable position.”

That position came in the form of four turnovers, miscues that could have cost the Aggies the game. But Snow Canyon couldn’t capitalize.

“We’ll take it,” Gerber said. “Defense was outstanding. You don’t win too many games with four turnovers.”
