Aiden Krause passed for 432 yards and six touchdowns tonight for the Coronado High football team in a 48-13 victory against host Basic in the second round of the class 4A playoffs.

Coronado scored on five of its initial six possession of the game to advance to the state semifinals for the second straight season.

“That was our most complete game (this season). We jumped on them pretty quickly,” Coronado coach Fred Biletnikoff Jr. said.

Michael Floyde hauled in his seventh touchdown reception of the season, Brady Kennedy had three touchdowns and nearly 200 reception yards, and Isaiah Bottley had two scores.

Coronado advances to face Silverado, which has surrendered just 23 points in 10 games this season. That includes a 43-0 win against Coronado.

“Silverado’s has had everyone’s number the past two years,” Biletnikoff said of the defending state champions.
